Q 13.
Does Hair Fall Out Collectively in Each Follicular Unit?

Are the beginning of hair cycles the same or different among hairs in a follicular unit? Is there a difference when hair begins to comes out?

A 13.

Human hair grows in a group of 1-3 hairs from the same place. It is called a follicular unit. The space between each follicular unit is about 1-2 mm apart.

Each hair in the same follicular unit begins to regrow at the different timing. Some hair grows earlier and other hair grows later than the others in the same follicular unit.

Beginning of har regrowth and the length of each hair cycle are different from each other between hair follicles.

Some hair falls out in a short hair cycle and regrows earlier than the other hair.
There is other hair with a longer hair cycle. Some hair regrows later than the others even within the same follicular unit.
